Mukono Municipality MP Betty Nambooze is back on her feet. The opposition Democratic Party MP who suffered injuries following a brawl in Parliament about two months ago had been confined to a wheelchair. But her health improved following a surgery she underwent at Manipal Hospital in India.
But her colleague Mityana Municipality MP Francis Zaake who went for treatment in the US is yet to get the money to pay for his surgery which was due today.
The director of Communication and Public affairs at Parliament says the institution is not able to fund the treatment of MP Francis Zaake, because the MP did not follow the right procedures for getting treatment abroad on government funds.
"The reports from the specialists do not indicate that the problem could not be handled from here," Obore said.
