FAO report: 4 million Ugandans suffer food insecurity

According to the findings, the Karamoja region is the most hit with up to 21% of its population without food.

A new report by the Food and Agricultural Organization shows that over 4 million Ugandans are severely food insecure. 

The report on acute and chronic food insecurity situation in the country indicates that as much as Uganda has the capacity to produce food, a large number of its citizens face an ever present threat of hunger.

According to the findings, the Karamoja region is the most hit with up to 21% of its population without food.
