In a statement issued to the press Internal Affairs minister, Jeje Odongo, said that his ministry regretted the incident
The minister for internal affairs Jeje Odongo has condemned the actions of the mob that appeared in defence of IGP Kale Kayihura at the Makindye Magistrates court last Tuesday.
In a statement issued to the press today at the Media Centre, Odongo said that his ministry regretted the incident for it does not condone or support unlawful demonstrations.
The statement comes in light of increased pressure on police to arrest and deter the mob from causing any further chaos at the next hearing slated for the 29th of August in which police Chief Kale Kayihura and seven others are charged with torture.
