Uganda National Roads Authority and the Ministry of Works have created twelve road safety check points along the Kampala -Masaka Road and the Masaka-Mbarara highway in an effort to curb road accidents. The move is part of a road safety campaign dubbed “Reach Safely”. It was launched by the Minister of Works, Monica Azuba and the UNRA Executive Director, Allen Kagina. More than 30 people have died in accidents along the highway since July this year.
