According to the Minister of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries, Vincent Ssempijja, the government has started taking soil samples from areas of Buvuma, Mayuge, Namayingo, Masaka among others to kickstart an expansion.
The government has earmarked over 200 million dollars for palm oil growing across the country in a bid to increase cooking oil production.
According to the Minister of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries, Vincent Ssempijja, the government has started taking soil samples from areas of Buvuma, Mayuge, Namayingo, Masaka among others to kickstart an expansion.
The Minister made the remarks while touring the Oil plan Uganda project at Mugoye Subcounty, Kalangala district.
