Charles Peter Mayiga, the Katikkiro of the Bugana Kingdom, has lauded the late Daudi Ochieng as a true nationalist whose death was a great loss to Uganda.
The Buganda Prime Minister Peter Mayiga had led a team of five Buganda ministers to Wii-Awaranga, the home of Daudi Ocheng to commemorate the 50th anniversary of his death.
Daudi ocheng was son to Lacito Okech, a longtime friend to Daudi Chwa, the former Buganda King and grandfather to the current King Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II.
By the time he died in 1966, Daudi Ochieng was the Member of Parliament of Mityana Constituency and he was the opposition chief whip of Kabaka Yekka in parliament from 1965 to 1966.
