Government anticipates a quarter a million more tourist arrivals into the country over the next year
The government anticipates it will attract a quarter of a million more tourist arrivals into the country over the next year from the current 1.3m to 1.56m, according to a strategic report shared out today.
The 8th Annual Tourism Sector Review has heard that sector earnings will also leap from the current $1.37 Billion dollars or approximately 4.5 Trillion to $1.5B (5.4 Trillion) in 2018.
However, an improvement in the country’s political atmosphere, wider expenditure in the promotion and increased investments in tourism facilities, must form a central role, according to sector actors.
