The leader of Opposition Winnie Kiiza has urged the government to look for funds that the medical workers have insisted that the strike shall go on if the government does not look into their issues.Addressing the media today at Parliament, she noted that although the government has requested medical workers to get back to duty, there is a lot lacking in the medical sector.The leader of Opposition urged the executive to put its focus on PrioritiesThe same call was repeated at the FDC weekly media briefing, by the acting President of the party Alice Alaso.
Alaso insisted that government should get a supplementary budget to cater for the medical workersHowever, a statement issued by the Prime Minister said that cabinet has resolved and formed a committee that will start negotiations with the medical workers that are on strike.
The committee consists of the finance ministry, the ministry of health, the ministry of public service and the attorney general.
