The first witness to appear before the commission of inquiry into land matters, senior lawyer Peter Mulira, has asked the probe team to investigate the electronic registration of land titles recently introduced by the ministry of lands.
Mulira who is an expert on land law, says the system instituted to ease land administration has instead been manipulated by officials in the ministry to perpetuate fraud.
The lawyer, who opened the public hearings by the commission in Kampala, also called for the reinstatement of the sovereign title to enable the state have full control of land and only compensate those displaced in public interest
