In our first series of Staying Alive: the Plight of South Sudan Refugees in Uganda, Frank Walusimbi visits Imvepi transit camp in Adjumani district , a major reception of South Sudanese.

Fighting  continues in South Sudan and the unrest has caused a massive humanitarian crisis  with the UN declaring a famine in two regions of the South Sudan. The situation is made  worse by a limited  resource  purse, hampering the work of humanitarian agencies.

This situation has led to an influx of refugees from South Sudan into West Nile and northern Uganda over the past year
