About two months ago, Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga directed the agriculture minister to table the plan but this has not been done.
Deputy leader of government business in Parliament, Gen. Moses, said a special cabinet meeting would be held on Friday to consider a proposal to cut the budgets of several ministries to free funds to give relief to hunger-stricken areas.
