9 members of the Judicial Service Commission were sworn in for a four year term of office on Monday as the old members bid farewell.
Justice Isingoma Benjamin Kabiito, who took office as the new chairperson of the commission, admitted that the commission has inherited a huge case backlog of complaints against Judicial officers on top of a backlog cases of 300 cases.

Besides corruption other complaints filed against magistrates and judges include poor time management, delay of judgement,unethical conduct and conflict of interest among others.
