Parliament’s committee on Commissions, Statutory Authorities and State Enterprises has tasked government to expeditiously review the agreement between Uganda Railways Corporation and Rift Valley Railways (RVR).
This follows revelations by managers of the corporation that RVR owes government over Shs26 billion in taxes. They told the committee that RVR also failed to meet the terms of their agreement which included increasing railway traffic and maintaining the wagons.
