President Yoweri Museveni has urged Judges to dispense justice fairly and without bias by paying heed to the doctrine of equality of all before the law.
President Yoweri Museveni asked the newly sworn-in judges to execute their work with fairness and to uphold the reputation of the Court system.
The president also promised that Government will do whatever it takes to ease their work.
The President made the appeal while officiating at a ceremony to swear in 10 Judges of the High Court, and one Justice of the Court of appeal at a function that was attended by the Chief Justice, Principal Judge, Deputy Chief Justice, Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs and Officials from the Judicial Service Commission at Statehouse Entebbe.
The judges sworn were Paul Gadenya Wolimbwa, Tadeo Asiimwe, Emmanuel Baguma, Jane Francis Abodo, Joyce Baguma, Alex Mackay Ajiji, Olive Kazaarwe Mukwaya, Cornelia Kakooza Sabiiti, Musa Sekaana and Richard Wabwire.
Justice Ezekiel Muhanguzi, was also sworn in as a Justice of the Court of Appeal.
In his speech, the Chief Justice Bart Katureebe welcomed the appointment of the new judges and urged them to deliver justice with high moral integrity.
