A petition challenging the Age Limit law will be heard in Mbale High Court starting 4th April 2018.
The Deputy Chief Justice Alfonse Owiny Dollo during a scheduling conference for the petitions filed by aggrieved parties who include the Uganda Law Society and opposition politicians.
Lawyers Erias Lukwago and Ladislaus Rwakafuuzi contested the change of venue from Kampala to Mbale district.
But Justice Owiny Dollo informed them that the Constitutional court can sit anywhere and changing venue does not change its legality:He said that it can even seat under a tree.
He concluded that the petitions will be consolidated into one but the lawyers, in this case, will meet at the Chambers of Lawyer Wandera Ogalo this week and list the issues to be determined in this case.
They will also come up with a list of authorities to be relied upon and all the evidence in the case should be filed before going to Mbale.
