Kiwatule residents demand action as heavy downpours leaves area flooded

Residents of Kigoowa Valley along the Northern bypass on Friday morning held a demonstration over flooding in their area after the downpour on Thursday evening blocked one of the main water channels.

The Residents and Nakawa division Mayor Ronald Balimwezo blamed the contractors working on the northern bypass for the poor planning of the drainage channels.

The residents are demanding for compensation after their property was destroyed by the floods.
