During his brief speech at the service held in honour of Dr. Ted Wilson, the World leader of the Seventh Day Adventists at Kololo ceremonial grounds, President Museveni commended the role the Seventh Day Adventist Church had played in promoting education and health services around the country.

Thousands of people today gathered at Kololo ceremonial grounds for a service held in honor of Dr. Ted Wilson, the World Leader of the Seventh Day Adventists, who has been on an official visit in Uganda since  Wednesday.

Most believers were not deterred by the scorching sun as they waited to hear from the leader of their faith.

The service was graced by many dignitaries including President Yoweri Museveni, Vice President Edward Kiwanuka Ssekandi, and the Deputy Speaker of Parliament Jacob Oulanyah, among others.

During his brief speech at the service, President Museveni commended the role the Seventh Day Adventist Church had played in promoting education and health services around the country.

The President also encouraged people in the congregation to use their abilities to fully harness the riches that the earth has to offer.

While delivering the main sermon, Dr. Ted Wilson emphasized the importance of protecting the family, which he said was the cornerstone of any society.

Dr. Wilson also warned Christians against falling prey to the schemes of false prophets.

Seventh Day Adventists pride themselves in ensuring the promotion of good health, access to education and not taking sides into partisan politics.
