Government drafts guidelines to guide butchers on meat standards

Government has come up with guidelines for butchers to follow while they go about their business selling meat.

The state minister for Kampala Benny Namugwanya has said government and KCCA will intensify sensitization campaigns and regular checks for both butchers and meat consumers.

This is to try and prevent people from consuming meat doused with chemicals as it has been reportedly going on in some parts of the Kampala.
