86 year old Tolofisa Gubya is a resident of Nakabogo in Mukono District, a place where she has stayed since 1960, she is one of the hundreds of mourners at St Phillip and Andrew Cathedral in Mukono Diocese who came to pay their respects to the Late former Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, Livingstone Mpalanyi Nkoyoyo
Gubya who is a close neighbour to the former Bishop of Mukono Diocese vividly remembers when she first heard the story of the former Archbishop Nkoyoyo picking interest in her neighbourhood
She also remembers the Archbishop as a person who loved his neighbours and the elderly
This morning Ms Gubya and hundreds of other mourners flocked St Phillip and Andrews Cathedral in Mukono Diocese to pray for the soul of the Late Archbishop Livingstone Mpalanyi Nkoyoyo, the late Archbishop had previously served as the Bishop of Mukono Diocese for 12 years.
The family and close friends of the late Archbishop commended him as a man who loved people and one who always preached about reconciliation and development
In his speech, the Archbishop of the Church of Uganda Stanley Ntagali praised the former Archbishop as a man who loved God who even went ahead to serve him after retirement
General Katumba Wamala who represented the Central government spoke of the late Archbishop as a man who did not segregate anyone diligently even serving people from other religious denominations
The Former Archbishop who served at the helm of the Anglican church for 10 years will be laid to rest tomorrow at the Martyrs Shrine in Namugongo
