The ninth of January is the day members of the opposition will launch their next plan of action after MPs passed the age limit bill.
It is upon this that leaders of city market traders, mechanics, taxi operators, Boda-boda riders, furniture dealers and other informal sector businesses have gathered this morning at Nakivubo Blue Primary School to pronounce their position against the planned k'ogikutteko demonstrations in time before they begin.
The informal business community lamented the challenges they go through whenever political demonstrations are carried out by politicians in the city and insisted they would not let that happen.
Particular opposition politicians have been cautioned to concentrate on serving their people and refrain from demonstrations.
They would also like to see politicians deliver their k'ogikutteko message in places far away from their business premises.
Should politicians hesitate, the leaders of the informal sector are ready to take action.
Police recently warned the opposition against staging demonstrations and vowed to protect people and their property.
It is still uncertain whether plans by opposition leaders will take effect come 9th January.
