The State minister of Lands Persis Namuganza says she is in full support of Buganda government’s Kyapa Mu Ngalo project which is aimed at strengthening security of tenure for tenants on the Kingdom’s land. This comes as the Ministry of Lands, Housing and Urban Development announced the completion of the first Phase of the National Land Information System revealing that so far, more than 500,000 land titles in six district zonal offices of Uganda have been computerized. 14 more districts will be covered in the second phase which started in January. The system aims to remove fraud and the possession of multiple land titles.
