Between now and the month of August, the World Food Programme will need about $60 million to meet the food demand among refugees in West Nile.
There are more than 820,000 refugees from South Sudan settled in the region and each one of them is entitled to a food ration.
The recent drought in Uganda and East Africa is however affecting food aid as supplies have to be shipped into the country and then transported by road to West Nile at a high cost is astronomical.
