Many families in Karamoja sub-region are going for days without a solid meal because the prolonged dry spell destroyed their gardens.
The families do not even have money they could use to buy food items. Now, many children from such families have deserted their homes and gone on to work in far flung places to make some money to buy the basic necessities at home.
